Ellie started teaching at a very young age, and her work as a Musical Director started when she was 17. She was invited to work with Surrey County Youth Theatre as MD, where she stayed for a number of years before moving on to work in London. Currently, she MD’s regularly with West End musicians and singers, and is a dep keys player for Stephen Ward at the Aldwych Theatre. Ever inspired by her students, she is a passionate and dedicated teacher, who loves to support and advise them as their skills and confidence develops. She is also a qualified massage therapist, specialising in the treatment of musicians, singers, dancers and actors, and regularly treats the Read College students.

Ellie studied at the Royal College of Music, specialising as an orchestral musician and accompanist. Work as a Musical Director includes: Dracula / Mother Courage  /  Oh! What A Lovely War / Beauty and The Beast (Blackeyed Theatre); The Underground Orchestra (Buswell, O2 Empire); Mash Up 1, 2 and 3 (Paulden Hall Productions, Leicester Square Theatre); Plug In The Lead (Alexis Gerred and West End guests, featuring Tony Christie, Leicester Square Theatre); Spotlight On…Cabarets (Landor Theatre); Cabaret in the Cellar Bar (Golden Ratio, South Hill Park); Hello Jerry (Landor Theatre); The Last Five Years (Fasten Your Seatbelts, Electric Theatre, Guildford); And They’re Off…The Words and Music of William Finn (Fasten Your Seatbelts, Electric Theatre). She is the Assistant Conductor for the Jon Lord Memorial gig at the Royal Albert Hall in aid of the Sunflower Jam charity (April 2014), and keys work includes Stephen Ward (Aldwych Theatre, London) and Jersey Boys (Prince Edward Theatre, London). She also works as an arranger and fixer, and plays piano, trumpet and accordion.
