My
time on the course helped me to realise how much I want to do this.
It launched me into getting a full scholarship for three-year training
and look at where I am now!

It always amazes me how dedicated the teachers were to each
and every one of the students, and how personal the tuition was.
I just simply wouldnt be where I am now without them

PRESS RELEASE - JANUARY 2010
STRICTLY COME DANCING INTO THE DRAGONS DEN
The hopes of talented young performers have been given a boost
this month,
as a national franchise of Theatre Schools announces a unique link
up with a
full time Dance & Theatre College.
Razzamataz Theatre Schools - the franchise created on BBC's Dragons
Den
by founder Denise Hutton and 'Dragon' Duncan Bannatyne - and Read
Dance
& Theatre College, who's patron is Craig Revel Horwood of another
BBC
flagship, Strictly Come Dancing, have announced an agreement giving
students unique access to professional training.
Jamie Read, Director of Theatre at Read College said:
"We are delighted to be able to offer students from Razzamataz
Theatre
Schools across the country exclusive workshops within their own
school's
environment, and the chance to then further their training with
us when they
leave. We know the standard of training that they've received at
Razzamataz
will have been high, and that gives us an excellent bench-mark for
auditioning
them."
Razzamataz founder, Denise Hutton - who won Business Woman of the
Year
in 2009 - said:
"Part of our commitment to our students all over the UK is
helping them
access further training if they want to go on and work in the Theatre
Industry. The course that Read Dance & Theatre College runs
is an ideal next
step for these students, so it's great to see how this link can
work for them."
The national franchise has grown at an amazing rate since opening
in 2000,
and states as its mission 'To create a new generation of all round
confident
and fit young performers'.
Read College has also grown in numbers and reputation since training
its first
students on the unique one-year foundation programme eight years
ago. The
college is about to move to stunning new premises at The Performing
Arts
Institute in Reading, and patron Craig Revel Horwood says:
"Training young performers is key to their future success,
and if you're going
to get a place at a top dance or drama college then you need an
edge over
the competition right from the start. That's why the course at Read
is so
important".
