The Foundation Course in Musical Theatre

Our Foundation Course in Musical Theatre has been successfully helping students to gain places at top colleges all over the UK since 2001, with many former graduates now in major shows in the West End.

Our experienced teaching faculty have helped students gain places on 3 year Musical Theatre and Dance courses including Urdang Academy, Arts Ed, Laine Theatre Arts, Mountview, London Studio Centre, Millennium Performing Arts, Tiffany Theatre College, The American Musical Theatre Academy and many more.

The course will include tuition in the following areas:

Dance: Ballet, Jazz, Commercial, Musical Theatre, Tap, Contemporary, Body Conditioning.

Singing: Estill Voice Training, Private Tuition, Audition Repertoire, Harmony and Group Work, Music Theory

Acting: Improvisation, Acting and Rehearsal Technique, Audition Repertoire, Voice, Acting through Song

The Foundation Course in Musical Theatre at Read College leads to the ATCL Diploma in Performing (Musical Theatre) awarded by Trinity College London. The course is full time (27.5 hours per week) and runs from September to July each year.
