Funding your course...
There are two scholarships available each year, both paying 50% of the tuition fees. The Directors Scholarship for Dance recognises the most promising dancer who auditions for us each year, whilst the Craig Barbour Scholarship for Voice recognises the most promising singer. Both scholarships are awarded on talent and are not means tested.
Read Dance & Theatre College also provide means tested bursaries of £500-£2,000 to students who are offered a place but may not be able to afford to attend. One example is the CFI Bursary, kindly funded by Children First International. The money is raised for this bursary by entering two runners in the London Marathon, with 100% of the sponsorship money going straight to the applicant in most need of bursary funding for that year.
Students on our one year musical theatre foundation course are also eligable to apply for EMA (Education Maintainance Allowance) or CDL (Career Development Loan) to help with funding costs. Applications for this funding should be made directly through DirectGov although you are welcome to contact the college for assistance or advice on funding your course with us.
