The Foundation Course in Acting

Our Foundation Course in Acting is an intensive one-year programme designed to help students take the extra steps they need to get in to the top CDS Drama Schools. Our teachers have experience of helping students to gain places at Acting Schools including RADA, East 15, Rose Bruford, Central School of Speech and Drama, Mountview, Arts Educational Schools and many more.

The course will include tuition in the following areas:

Acting Techniques : Improvisation, Devising, Stanislavsky Method, Audition Preparation, Estill Voice Training, Pilates/Body Conditioning

Text: Classical Performance, Contemporary Playwrights, American and European Drama

Supporting Disciplines: Singing, Movement, History of Theatre & Industry Knowledge

The Foundation Course in Acting at Read College leads to the ATCL Diploma in Performing (Speech and Drama) awarded by Trinity College London. The course is full time (27.5 hours per week) and runs from September to July each year.
