Charlotte Morrell, DDI DDE - Head of Jazz
Charlotte studied at the prestigious Elmhurst School for Dance, graduating with a National Dance Diploma and teaching qualifications with the ISTD.
After studying, she went on to her professional dance career including many pantomimes, films, commercials and touring with Europe’s biggest circus, Circus Krone. Deciding she wanted to continue into teaching, Charlotte came back to Devon and worked along side her past dance teachers at Totnes School of Dance in ISTD, RAD, IDTA work, as well as teaching on the Level 3 BTEC course (with many students acheiving triple Distinction successes, and going on to vocational training at colleges including Bird College, Performers, etc). Charlotte’s students have also had successes competitions including the All England Finals and The Dance World Cup.
Moving to London, Charlotte has taught for D&B Academy of Performing Arts, Jacqui Ison Theatre School and various others, teaching Modern, Jazz, Tap, Street Jazz, Contemporary, Classical Greek and Ballet. She has also been a guest teacher for the Ruby Ginner ISTD awards in Classical Greek in London.
Her passion lies with choreography, and Charlotte is studying to become as examiner with the ISTD. She is delighted to be joining the faculty at READ College as Head of Jazz.
