“ I had been auditioning for colleges for three years, and hadn’t got a place. Now, after my year at Read, I’ve been offered five places at my top choices and I’ve got to decide where to accept!”
Natalie Issitt, - 2009-10 graduate

Since 2001, Read Dance and Theatre College has been leading the way in Foundation Course Training for students wishing to pursue a career in Musical Theatre. Our unique, intensive one-year foundation
course bridges the gap between part-time local dance schools/theatre
schools and full-time, three-year vocational training.
We have developed excellent links with other dance colleges and drama schools including London Studio Centre, Arts Ed and GSA, all of whom send teachers from their 3 year courses to prepare our students for audition. In fact, around 80% of our graduates have successfully gone on to a funded place at some of the top Dance & Drama Colleges in the UK.

"Training young performers is key to their future success, and if you're
going to get a place at a top dance or drama college then you
need an edge over the competition right from the start. That's
why the course at Read is so important."
We will produce professional, well trained, balanced students,
with knowledge of all aspects of their industry, and we aim to
give young people the best start to their career by preparing
them to audition for further training, and by forming links with
industry professionals. We will provide young people with the
tools to enable them to manage themselves in further training
both personally and professionally, and as a college we aim to
constantly develop and innovate.
"In my opinion Read Dance & Theatre College provides students with a fantastic opportunity to enhance their training and prepares them superbly to audition for full time professional courses such as ours at the London Studio Centre"
Nic Espinosa - Director, London Studio Centre
